A manhunt is on for suspected 19-year-old serial killer, Sunday Shodipe, after he escaped from the custody of the Police in Oyo State.

Shodipe who escaped on August 11, had told the police when he was arrested on July 11, that a traditionalist, Adedokun Ajani, whom he approached to get trained as a herbalist ordered him to go and kill and would give him N500 and food each time he returned from the mission. The traditionalist denied the allegation.

“Baba was the one sending me to kill, but he has never told me what he was doing with the victims. He would only ask me to go and before I came back, he would have bought me food and he would give me N500. But I don’t remove any part of their body. I also don’t rape them… I used shovel to kill my victims,” Shodipe said in July, and admitted killing at six different places.

The Oyo State Police Command has declared Shodipe wanted and urged citizens to provide the police with information about the suspect’s whereabouts.
