Feyisola Dosumu, a wanted serial killer in Ogun state has been killed by the police in an operation that lasted two days.
Dosumu who was also known as ‘Hacker Spartan’, was said to be a notorious cultist and drug addict and had been declared wanted by the police over the murder of nine people at Ogere and Iperu-Remo in Ikenne Local government of Ogun state.
The Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, said that Dosumu lived in a bush from which sneaked out to kill selected victims.
“…We almost arrested him, but he slipped through our fingers. So, I now felt it is important to employ technology. So we contacted our technical platform in Abuja who actually provided us assistance,” Ajogun said.
“…We were able to have a pin-point location where he was hiding and we engaged him. He broke bottles again, drew the cutlass that he had been using to hack people to death, then of course we replied. We maimed him on the leg fortunately it turned out to be a fatal injury.”
Governor Dapo Abiodun said that the serial killer terrorized the people of Ogere for nine months and a bounty was placed on him. He commended the police for “ending the free rein of serial killer.”
His last victim was a landlord, Elder Olatunji Oladeji at Oluwatedo community in Ogere. Dosumu reportedly confronted Oladeji when he returned from work on August 21. “There was no disagreement between them. People saw him, but could not go near him,” the Punch reported quoting the victim’s son, Samuel.
He was reported to have raped and hacked a nursing mother to death a month ago. “He has killed a lot of people in this community. Whenever he kills anyone and people go after him, he marks the faces of his pursuers and goes to kill them in their houses,” Samuel said.
