A 12-year-old girl, identified as Jemima Reuben Sani was  on Saturday reportedly strangled and killed by a suspect, Nuhu Dauda (28) a vigilante and regular customer at POS SHOP in new Badirisa in Girei Government area of Adamawa State.

The suspect who is now in police custody was alleged to have carted away with the POS machine and all the transactions realized on that fateful day.

Police spokesman in the state, Suleiman Yahya Nguroje who confirmed the sad incident however said, the suspect was apprehended by the police in Hayin-gada,in Girei and is a  member of vigilante in the same community.

‘’ The family of the victim are now helping police with useful information for a wider investigation,’’ said he.

A resident, who could not control her tears said, the victim, Jemima Reuben Sani, was a student at First Baptist Academy Yola, preparing to resume school on Monday as SS1 pupil.

‘’ Look, her mother, who left her dear daughter to attend a nearby event at the neighbourhood , fainted after hearing the sad incident,’’ said the source.

Also speaking  a journalist who resides in the neighborhood of the area, regrets  that‘’ the entire community has been thrown into mourning  that why a regular customer at the shop should perpetrate such kind of horrendous act.’’

The new Badirisa area is situated around the satellite town, where ATV,  Gotel communications and AIT which was recently bungled based.

Cases of house burglary at nights have been on the increase as innocent citizens have been disposed of their belongings forcefully in the area.
