YOLA — No fewer than 1,650 people suffering from fibroids and cataracts would receive free surgery and treatment from medical outreach sponsored by the Senator representing Adamawa Central in the National Assembly, Senator Aisha Dahiru Ahmed Binani.
According to the records, 1,550 persons with cataract would be treated and given eyeglasses while 50 patients suffering from fibroids would also receive free treatment.
The exercise which kicks off on Monday 26th September 2022 at the Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital Yola in conjunction with Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria is to enhance the well-being of people in the society and will last up to 7th October 2022.
In his remark, the Chief Medical Director of Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital Yola Prof Auwal Abubakar said Senator Aisha Dahiru Binani has provided all necessary facilities for the exercise.
Also speaking, Sen. Aisha Binani, who is the Gubernatorial candidate of APC in Adamawa was represented by her running mate, Titsi Ganama said the gesture is to assist the less privileged in society regarding their medical needs.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed satisfaction with the exercise and commended the Senator for the foresight.
The exercise is well coordinated as contained based on the timetable of the exercise.
