The 20th edition of the IgboFest Houston is set to hold in Houston, Texas in the United States on 22 July 2023.

The annual event, which has reigned for over 15 years in the city of Houston, celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the Igbos of the southeastern region of Nigeria.

This year’s event will be hosted by the Ndi-Ichie Youth Cultural Foundation and Ndi-Ichie Cultural Association.

Organisers say there will be an array of activities to boost cultural tourism in Houston, Texas.

The event will feature electrifying performances from groups drawn across the US and globally.

Group performances will range from traditional to acrobatic and key appearances from various masquerades from Igboland.

Among the numerous groups that will thrill the audience include the Texas Southern University debate team, Igwe cultural entertainment, Nnewi Odogwu masquerade, Okoso dancers, Akuma dance ensemble, Womba Africa drumming and dance, Umeze dance troupe, Ayaka masquerade, Ijele masquerade, and the Mgbadike masquerade.

The event will hold at Discovery Green Downtown, Houston, Texas between 3:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time (CDT).
