Bandits again have abducted a yet-to-be ascertained number of students after attacking Kaya Day Secondary School in Zamfara State.

The attack happened at about 11 am on Wednesday, September 1, in the Maradun Local Government Area of the State.

According to Channels, a source within the government, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed the attack on the school and the abduction of the students.

However, the police authority in the state has yet to confirm the abduction as of the time of writing this report.

The source explained that the attackers invaded the school in a large number and left with students to an undisclosed location.

Zamfara is one of the north-west states that is most hit with bandits attacks. Schools and students have been the targets of the bandits for ransom.
