The Paramount ruler of Adamawa, and Lamido Adamawa, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa has ordered the immediate closure of all Jumma’at and five daily prayer mosques in a renewed effort to contain the spread of novel Coronavirus.

Although the state is yet to record any index of the COVID-19, measures were put in place by relevant authorities just as the two weeks lockdown order imposed in the state, is due to lapse on Tuesday.

Reacting on the order by the monarch some residents say that, ” the Lamido through Magajin Gari Yola has ordered the immediate closure of all Mosques conducting five daily congregational prayers in his domain till further notice.

“The order, threatens that any Imam (Liman) who violates the directive will face the music,” said a local resident who simply identified himself as Mallum Baba.

It could be recalled that Jummaat Mosques in the state were all shut down about two weeks now, with the exception of daily prayers mosques, ” with this new order slammed by the monarch we are to say our prayers in our respective homes.

“We are supposed, even daily prayers will be banned!?” added another resident Baba Yola.

It’s not yet clear whether the state government will review it’s lockdown by Tuesday or not as economic bites with residents groaning that they are yet to receive any palliative.
